Bathroom renovation
Bathroom renovations with the waterproofing and plumbing resolved properly — not just the visible finishes.
What it involves
A well-renovated bathroom starts with what you cannot see: drainage, waterproofing of wet areas and services. The tiling — wall and floor tiles — goes on top of properly resolved waterproofing, and the sanitaryware and finishes come last. Tiling alone does not stop water: the coordination between waterproofing, plumbing, tiling and finishes is what makes the renovation last. We do not promise absolute water-tightness, but we work to make each layer do its job.
What's included

Frequently asked questions
- What does a bathroom renovation usually include?
- It normally includes demolition and preparation, plumbing and drainage, waterproofing of wet areas, tiling and wall finishes, and fitting the sanitaryware and final finishes. The exact scope is set in writing according to what is included in the project.
- Do you need a permit to renovate a bathroom?
- It depends on the scope of the work and the municipality: a prior notification or a licence may be required, especially if the layout is being changed. The final decision always rests with the council; we review this for your specific case.
- Does changing the bathroom layout make the job much more complex?
- Moving sanitaryware and drainage involves touching the plumbing and may affect waterproofing and falls. It is possible in many cases, but it is worth assessing beforehand to define the scope clearly and avoid surprises.
- Why do you place such emphasis on waterproofing?
- Because a bathroom starts with what you cannot see: if the drainage and the waterproofing of the wet areas are not properly resolved, problems appear later beneath the tiles and finishes. Tiling alone is not a guarantee of water-tightness; that is why the waterproofing underneath is the foundation that makes the renovation last.
- How can I prepare for a first consultation?
- A few photos of the current bathroom, the approximate dimensions and an idea of what you want to change all help. With that we can give an initial orientation; to confirm the scope we usually need a site visit. You can send everything over WhatsApp.
