We build to the technical project

Foundations are sized from the geotechnical study, the loads coming from the structure and the project. We do not start without that basis defined. If you do not have it yet, we coordinate with architects and technical specialists to resolve it.

What we provide
  • Execution to the drawings and the soil study
  • Topographic setting out and level control
  • Phased control of the concrete and reinforcement
What the project needs
  • A geotechnical study of the ground
  • A structural project and calculations
  • A building licence from the council

What's included

Earthworks and excavation
Blinding and cleanliness concrete
Reinforcement to the drawings
Formwork and concrete pouring
Retaining walls where the project requires them

This is not a DIY guide

Structural, electrical, gas and roofing work is high-risk and must be carried out by professionals in line with the technical project and regulations. We explain how we work; this is not a manual for doing it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a geotechnical study before quoting the foundations?
Foundations are sized from the geotechnical study, the structural loads and the project. For a new build this basis is normally needed; if you do not have it yet, we coordinate with architects and technical specialists to resolve it.
Who decides the type of foundation?
The foundation type is determined by the project and the structural calculations, based on the ground. We carry out the defined solution, with topographic setting out and level control.
What happens if water, rock or unexpected ground appears during excavation?
It can happen. Faced with an unforeseen condition, we report it to the site supervision so the solution can be reviewed before continuing; any change of scope is assessed and agreed in writing.
How is concrete quality controlled?
We control the reinforcement, the formwork and the curing of the concrete in phases, following the drawings and the soil study, and we document each phase with photos and video.
Is a licence needed to build foundations?
Foundations are part of a work that normally requires a building licence and a technical project. The exact requirements vary by municipality and type of work; they should be checked with the technician and the council.
