We build to the technical project

When a property is heavily deteriorated or has partially collapsed, much of it has to be rebuilt. We assess what can be kept and what must be reconstructed, always working to an approved technical project and with structural safety as the first priority.

What we provide
  • Assessment of what to keep and what to rebuild
  • Structural execution to the project
  • Documented progress throughout the whole process
What the project needs
  • A technical project and, where required, a structural study
  • A building licence

What's included

Selective demolition and temporary propping
Rebuilding the structure and floor decks

This is not a DIY guide

Structural, electrical, gas and roofing work is high-risk and must be carried out by professionals in line with the technical project and regulations. We explain how we work; this is not a manual for doing it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

When does a project become reconstruction rather than renovation?
We talk about reconstruction when a property is so deteriorated, or has partially collapsed, that piecemeal renovation is no longer enough: large parts of the structure, the roof or the walls have to be rebuilt. The dividing line is not always obvious and depends on the real condition of the building, which needs to be assessed with technical judgement.
Can any old house or farmhouse be reconstructed?
We cannot confirm that before seeing the case. It depends on the condition of the structure, what can be retained, the project and the municipality's planning rules. That is why we start by assessing what can be kept and what has to be rebuilt, always with structural safety as the first priority.
Do you need a project and a licence for a reconstruction?
This type of work normally requires a technical project and, frequently, a structural study and a building licence. We coordinate with the architect and the site supervision, but the decision on permits rests with the relevant authority. Requirements should be checked with the council before starting.
Can you make a first assessment from photos?
For an initial orientation, often yes, but with caution: photos help us understand the case, not diagnose it definitively. For a reconstruction, a site visit and, where needed, a technical assessment are usually necessary before defining the scope and an indicative quote.
How is a reconstruction organised?
It usually proceeds in phases — selective demolition and temporary propping, structure, roof and finishes — with documented progress throughout. The order and scope are defined by the project and the condition of the building, and agreed in writing before work starts.
