Heating, cooling and ventilation
Preparatory building work for heating, cooling and ventilation systems, coordinated with the renovation and with specialist installers.
What it involves
We handle the building work that heating, cooling and ventilation systems need: service runs, condensate drainage and brackets, leaving everything ready for the equipment to be installed correctly. Where the project includes underfloor heating, we prepare the structural base: it is a system that goes under the floor and must be planned together with the flooring, the insulation and a technician's judgement, because once covered it is inaccessible. Selecting and sizing the equipment is the specialist installer's job.
What's included
The exact scope is defined in writing for each project. It does not include items that are not agreed.

Frequently asked questions
- Which part of the heating and cooling work do you carry out?
- We carry out the building work that heating, cooling and ventilation systems need: pre-installation of ducts and service runs, condensate drainage, brackets and service penetrations. If the project includes underfloor heating, we prepare the structural base before the screed and the floor finish. We leave everything ready and coordinate with the equipment installer, who mounts and commissions the unit.
- Do you recommend a particular brand or type of equipment?
- We do not recommend any specific brand. Our work is the building preparation and pre-installation; choosing the equipment is for the specialist installer, based on the needs of the home. We coordinate with them so the building work leaves everything ready for the chosen system.
- Does improving ventilation solve damp or health problems?
- Ventilation can help with condensation and air quality, but it is not a standalone solution and it is not a health treatment. Damp can have other causes that should be assessed, and any health concern should be discussed with a medical professional.
- Can the pre-installation be done during a renovation?
- Yes, and it is the ideal moment. Leaving runs, service lines and condensate drainage in place during the build avoids having to redo work later. We coordinate this with the electrical work and with the other trades.
- How much will I save with better ventilation or heating and cooling?
- We do not give savings figures: they depend on the equipment, how the home is used, the insulation and the specific property. We can prepare the building work so the system functions correctly, but the actual efficiency is for the installer to assess for your case.
